Homestay

Homestay is one of the best ways to experience the British way of life. Living with a homestay accommodation provider will allow you to practise and use your English with the people that you live with. Your homestay provider will provide you with a private bedroom, breakfast and dinner.

You can choose full-board which also includes a packed lunch each school day.

 Availability:

 All year around except Christmas and New Year Holiday

 Location:

 All of our homestay providers are located within 5 miles of the school. Most homestays are a bus or train ride away. You can buy a weekly bus pass / rail pass when you get on the bus or train.

 Travelling time:

 Most homestays are on average 15 minutes’ travelling time from Celtic by public transportation.

 Room Type:

 Single Room

 Room description:

 A comfortable and simply furnished room which contains a desk and storage space for your clothes. Bed linen is provided by the homestay provider. Your homestay provider will clean your room, but you should keep it neat and tidy too by making your own bed and putting your clothes away.

 Meal plans:

 Half board: breakfast and evening meal included daily.

Full board: breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal included daily.

Notes:
•    Cooking facilities are not included, access to these is at the host’s discretion.
•    Breakfast is not usually cooked. It is often toast, cereal, fruit juice and tea or coffee.
•    Dinner is the main meal of the day and usually includes meat, fish or poultry, unless you have asked in your application form for vegetarian meals.
•    Special dietary requirements available on request. Please inform the school at the time of the booking.
•    Students un
der 18 years old must book a full-board meal plan.

 Laundry:

 Students should be able to do one washing machine load of laundry per week. Please discuss with your homestay provider whether you should do it yourself in their machine or whether they will do it for you.

 Baths and showers:

 Everyone in the homestay accommodation needs to use the bathroom and there is often only one bathroom in the home.  You will need to ask your host when the best time to have your bath or shower is. Towels are provided by your homestay provider.

 Telephone:

 Please ask your homestay provider if they will allow you to use the telephone.

 Internet:

 Internet access might be available in some homestays. Please ask the homestay provider upon arrival.


Notes: at Celtic School you can enjoy free Internet and wireless connection Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
