Yes! You should have a student insurance policy that covers health, course cancellation
and the possessions that you will bring with you.
You may pay by bank transfer, credit card or by cheque (sterling account).
It is also possible to pay in Euros - please contact the school first and we will give you details.
When we receive your application form we will send you more details about payment.
Cardiff is not as expensive as London or the South Coast of England. You can still have a fantastic time without spending a lot of money.

The temperature in Cardiff in summer (July/August) is between 22C & 30C and the in winter (January/February) is between 8C to –1C
Our advice is to bring a jacket and sweater even in summer and make sure you have warm clothes for winter. An umbrella is also a good idea! Also bring:
A Camera
Passport size photographs
Mobile phone

As most of our students leave on a Saturday, the best day to arrive is on Sunday.
All students should come to school at 9am on their first day, unless we tell you a different time before your arrival.
During the morning you will be given a short test, which will help us to decide which class to put you in. We will then tell you your timetable, inform you about the social programme and show you the school.
Teachers will be available to offer any advice or help that you might need.
For your first class you will need only a pen and paper. However most classes use a course book, which you will have to buy (approximately £15). It is also a good idea to have a learner's dictionary.
The most important thing to remember is that this is a small school and we will do everything we can to help or advise you.
You will have to consult with your local embassy about the visa requirements to enter your country of choice. For more information please check out the Visa information link on our website.
Yes, CELTiC will send you a letter when we have received your fees or the minimum deposit.

If you are from the EU then you can work anywhere. If you are a student with a tourist visa then you cannot work. If you have a student visa then you can work a maximum of 20 hours per week.
In the past a lot of our students have had part-time jobs - it is not difficult to find work in a bar or restaurant, we can help. A lot of our students say that working is helpful because they meet different people and have the opportunity to use English outside the classroom.
However, there is no guarantee that you will find work and so the money you need to live in Cardiff should not depend on it.
