Cardiff is surrounded by beautiful coast and countryside
The pride of many Cardiffians (the people of Cardiff) is that you can walk along the famous River Taff from the city centre, right out to the countryside, through gorgeous parkland. Indeed, Cardiff has a greater area of parkland per head of population than any other city in Britain, providing residents with unrivalled opportunities for sports, leisure and relaxation.

Parks

Sophia Gardens is just 3 minutes walk from the school and is just one of the city’s fabulous parks. Relax, admire the flowers, take a walk, cycle, picnic, and enjoy views of Cardiff Castle.

Countryside

Within an hour's drive of Cardiff, beaches, mountains and secluded woodlands offer excellent opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Areas of outstanding natural beauty lie all around the city. It only takes twenty minutes from the city centre to reach the beach or be in the middle of a rural beauty spot.
